Please read before you proceed with the installation of Level Up Maths:
The installation instructions provided below are intended as general guidance and do not aim to provide detailed technical information. Some systems may not operate in exactly the same way, but the basic process remains the same. If in doubt, please consult your network administrator and/or technical support documentation.
All drive letters below are used as examples; drive letters on your system may vary. Ensure that all folders used for installing the software have sharing and permissions enabled (see 'installation overview' file in the ReadMe folder).

Run from CD
To run LevelUp Maths 3-5 directly from the CD-ROM, simply insert it into your CD-ROM drive, and it will run automatically. If for whatever reason this doesn’t happen, open the folder ‘package’ and double click the file ‘LiveText.exe’.

Installing to your PC
To make a copy of the software on your hard drive, browse to the CD, double-click on the file ‘LevelUp Maths 3-5.msi’ and follow the instructions.
1. Before you start, ensure that your PC meets the minimum specifications given in the Minimum Specifications section below.
2. If you do not have Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher installed, please download it from the Adobe web site:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer.
3. Place the disk in the CD-ROM drive on your PC and double-click on the file ‘LevelUp Maths 3-5.msi’.
4. When the install screen launches, click on ‘Next’ to continue.
5. On the Destination Folder screen, choose the folder where you want to install the product to and click on ‘Next’. The installer defaults to ‘C:/Program Files/Heinemann/LevelUp Maths 3–5’ but if you want to change this, click on the ‘Change’ button and select the relevant destination folder.
6. On the Ready to Install screen, click on the Install button to start the installation process. Please note that the install process may take several minutes.
7. Once the install has finished, click on the Finish button. If you would like to launch the program, click in the check box next to ‘Launch LevelUp Maths Levels 3-5’.
8. The installation is now complete.
9. After installation, to start the LevelUp Maths 3-5 software the next time, either double-click the shortcut icon on your desktop, or go to Start > All Programs > Heinemann, and select ‘LevelUp Maths 3–5’ from the list.

Network installation
The software may also be deployed to users via your network, as follows:
Copy the entire contents of the CD to your normal deployment area. Open the file “InstallPath.dat” and change the default installation path if necessary from C:\Program Files\Heinemann\ LevelUp Maths 3-5 to the required path.
Follow your usual deployment procedure to distribute the product.

Installation on a VLE
A separate disk is supplied for installation on a VLE containing a zip file with an SCORM 1.2 compliant IMS manifest and the content.
Insert the VLE Pack CD-ROM in a network CD-ROM drive.
Use your VLE’s own ‘import’ feature and browse to the CD-ROM and install as per your VLE instructions. LevelUp Maths 3-5 will then install into your VLE.
To access LevelUp Maths 3-5 in your VLE once installed, select the “LevelUp Maths 3-5” link on the VLE menu.
