Go Science How To Guides
Please read before you proceed with the installation of Go Science Software:
The installation instructions provided below are intended as general guidance and do not aim to provide detailed technical information. Some systems may not operate in exactly the same way, but the basic process remains the same. If in doubt, please consult your network administrator and/or technical support documentation.
All drive letters below are used as examples; drive letters on your system may vary. Ensure that all folders used for installing the software have sharing and permissions enabled (see 'installation overview' file in the ReadMe folder).

1. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive the software should start automatically
If the software does not start automatically:

Double click on My Computer

Right click on the CD-ROM drive

Select Explore
-
A list of the contents of the CD is displayed

Double click on the Go Science! 1 LiveText - teacher.msi file
2. The InstallShield Wizard is displayed, click on the Next button
3. Choose the location you would like the software to install to. We would recommend that the default location is used which is C:\Program Files\Heinemann\Go Science! 1 LiveText - teacher\. To accept the default location, click on the Next button.
4. The Choose Shortcuts page is displayed, select either/both by clicking in the box(es)
5. Click on the Next button, then click on the Proceed button
6. Files are downloaded and a message is displayed saying installation is complete
7. Click on the Finish button to exit the InstallShield Wizard and close the contents of CD page
Note: For RM CC3 installations please save the contents of the CD to your chosen location and create a shortcut to "LiveText.exe" which is found in the "Package" folder. No MSI's are required for this product.
VLE installation:
1. This CD contains the SCORM 1.2 Content Pack as a Zipped Package
2. Follow the instructions specific to your system for SCORM 1.2 packages
Note: Unfortunately due to wide variety of VLE's, the installation process cannot be support.
