Pupil Books
The Expo 1 Pupil Book for Year 7 has differentiated activities to cater for a full range of abilities. The parallel Pupil Books for Expo 2 and 3 help you to improve the performances of all abilities – Rouge for higher ability pupils and Vert for lower ability pupils. These are parallel in content, but at different levels of difficulty. The content of each book overlaps so that pupils in the middle of the ability range are well catered for.
Workbooks
Each of the Pupil Books has its own Workbook. There are two levels of Workbooks accompanying the Expo 1 Pupil Book: Workbook A for reinforcement and B for extension. Expo 2 and Expo 3 come with differentiated Workbooks, Rouge for higher ability and Vert for lower ability pupils, providing reading and writing activities for homework and cover work.

-
Clear learning targets are made explicit to the pupils at the start of each unit. Simple grammar explanations, and lots of opportunities for grammar practice help you to provide an integrated approach to teaching the structure of the language. Language-learning skills are carefully developed through the activities, and are further supported in the other components of the course.
-
Explanations, modelling and practice of French pronunciation throughout encourage good accents from the start. Extension units ensure that the core remains accessible and that all abilities are catered for. Differentiated reading and writing activities at the back of the book provide a wealth of material that pupils can work on independently.
-
Mini-tests in the middle of each module and end-of-module checklists and revision tests provide valuable material for Assessment for Learning. Assessment for Learning is further supported in the other components of the course.
