OCR A Level Sociology
OCR and Heinemann are working together as official partners to provide material for the new A Level Sociology specification.
How has the OCR GCE Sociology specification changed?
The main changes to the specification include:
-
The reduction from six to four units.
-
Coursework is no longer a requirement.
-
The introduction of Stretch & Challenge in A2 units.
-
Updated and modernised content.
-
The introduction of a new exam question to assess methods in context which will be based on pre-released stimulus material.
Five reasons to be confident that the new Heinemann materials will support you through these changes:
-
Our materials are tailored to the new specification. We are working closely with OCR's Sociology team to give you the best support we can.
-
The materials are written by experienced examiners. Our authors are experienced examiners so you can be sure that their guidance is right for the specification.
-
Whatever options you choose, we'll support you. We are supporting every single Sociology option because we know how frustrating it is if you're teaching an under-resourced option.
-
Heinemann's resources complement OCR's support materials. Our resources will complement OCR's teacher support materials.
-
All the new resources will be tried and tested by tutors and students. At Heinemann, we always use extensive feedback from tutors and students.
