OCR A Level Geography
OCR and Heinemann are working together as official partners to provide materials for the new OCR A Level Geography specification.
How has the OCR GCE Geography specification changed?
The main changes to the specification include:
-
The reduction from six to four units within a single new specification.
-
Coursework is no longer a requirement.
-
The introduction of Stretch & Challenge in A2 units.
-
A new issues-based approach which includes new, contemporary topics such as energy issues, environments under threat and globalisation.
Five reasons to be confident that the new Heinemann materials will support you through these changes:
-
Our materials are tailored to the new specification. We are working closely with OCR's Geography team to give you the best support we can.
-
The materials are written by experienced examiners. Our authors are experienced examiners, so you can be sure that their guidance is right for the specification
-
Whatever options you choose, we'll support you. We are supporting every single Geography option because we know how frustrating it is if you're teaching an under-resourced option.
-
Heinemann's resources complement OCR's support materials. Our resources will complement OCR's teacher support
-
All the new resources will be tried and tested by tutors and students. At Heinemann, we always use extensive feedback from tutors and students.
