RM CC3 Network Install:

To use the msi to deploy the application to your workstations.

1. Log on to a workstation as an administrator.

2.  Create a suitably named folder under "Q:\Applications" – i.e. "I-Teach Y5-6".

3. Exploring the CD, copy the entire CD contents to the folder you have just created under "Q:\Applications".

4. Additional to this, users will need to be able to access data for some of the activities. It is recommended that this is copied manually to a suitable area on the network that teacher users can read and write to and, more importantly, browse to. We suggest using the "W" share for this purpose, (shared documents).

5. To copy this data, browse the CD and navigate to "D:\program files\Heinemann\i-Teach Scientific Enquiry\i-Teach Science Y5-6" – Where "D" is the drive letter of your CD drive:

6. Simply copy the 6 folders, (DS, EE, FT, GS, OC and PS), to your chosen location.

7. We suggest creating a suitably named folder to store them in, i.e. "W:\ITeach Y5_6". Again please ensure that all intended users have at least read and write permissions to this location and that they know where these documents are stored.

8. Once you have done this the RM Management Console should be used to update the package list and the "i-Teach Scientific Enquiry Year 5-6" Application Package and its shortcut "i-Teach Science Y5-6" can be assigned to an appropriate Program Set.
