How does SAT Attack tie in with the NLS framework for teaching?

The teaching in SAT Attack is based on objectives from the NLS framework and QCA Assessment focuses. For advice on how NLS target statements for Years 5 and 6 match up with the QCA Assessment focuses, look at pages 9-10 of the introduction in the Teacher’s Guide.

 

How can I ensure all my pupils are working to their ability?

SAT Attack provides two differentiated Revision Manuals. The Core manual is for children working at Levels 3-4 and the Challenge Manual is for children working at Levels 4-5.

Is SAT Attack up-to-date with the new SAT for writing?

Yes, SAT Attack is up-to-date with the new SAT for Writing. General advice on the new mark scheme can be found on pages 6-8 and 11-14 of the introduction in the Teacher’s Guide, and mark schemes specific to the writing activities in SAT Attack are written in accordance with the new mark scheme.

Does SAT Attack provide opportunities for forward-teaching as well as revision?

Yes, SAT Attack ensures teaching of objectives from terms 2 and 3 of Year 6 as well as revising objectives from previous years.
