How do children progress through Rigby Star Guided?

Rigby Star Guided is carefully structured into 11 colour-banded levels. The Planning and Assessment Guide provides advice on which order to read the books in to follow a very gradual progression, though not every child will need to read every book in every level.

How does Rigby Star Guided help with writing?

Rigby Star Guided non-fiction helps to improve writing by linking children's writing to the stories, words and characters they know. Every Rigby Star Guided  book has two accompanying photocopiable activities, one of which is always a writing activity. The Teaching Versions provide further ideas for writing that links to the reading.
