Structure

The fiction texts offer the reader a choice of paths, each one leading to a different outcome. Animation and audio are used to play scenes from the story, whilst pupils evaluate plot, setting and character in making their choice of route-perfect for group discussion.

Mystery

Mystery texts link literacy to the wider curriuclum with video, animation and audio to encourage critical thinking and information gathering. Pupils are presented with a mystery scenario linked to learning in another area of the curriculum. Around the main scene are links which take them to different clues or bits of information, presented in a variety of different ways, e.g newspaper report, a diary entry, an audio video. Through, reading and discussion, pupils can piece together the clues and solve the mystery.
