Multimedia Reading and the renewed Framework

Q: The Teaching Guide refers to the old objectives. How do I use it alongside the renewed Framework?

The 'outcomes' of these texts are determined by the expectations of the National Curriculum levels, rather than the original National Literacy Strategy Framework. Although the teaching guides do link to the original National Literacy Strategy objectives, they touch on several different Year groups for any one National Curriculum level. Therefore, this will ensure great ease of use and flexibility, and allows you to fit these texts easily into your current teaching and planning.

Q: The renewed Framework recommends longer blocks of work on different genres. How does Interactive Literacy help me deliver my teaching this way?

As well as being highly motivating for learners, this resource offers flexible, easy-to-use content which slots seamlessly into your existing teaching. The National Curriculum level coverage ensures that you can choose texts that suit the needs of all your pupils.
