Installation guides for Digitexts
Please read before you proceed with the installation of Digitexts:
The installation instructions provided below are intended as general guidance and do not aim to provide detailed technical information. Some systems may not operate in exactly the same way, but the basic process remains the same. If in doubt, please consult your network administrator and/or technical support documentation.
All drive letters below are used as examples; drive letters on your system may vary. Ensure that all folders used for installing the software have sharing and permissions enabled (see 'installation overview' file in the ReadMe folder).

Install on a PC
1. Insert the
Digitexts disk in your CD-ROM drive
2. If the CD
autoruns, follow the
onscreen instructions
3. If the CD does not
autorun, double click on the CD-ROM drive icon inside My Computer
4. Double click on the
Digitext icon
5. Specify a folder as the 'Shared drive location'. The folder you set will be the location of all the log-in details and saved work.
6. Then allow the install to add the software package to your system
7. You may be asked to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.5 during the install. Choose where you would like this installed to.
8. Press Finish to complete the install
Install on a MAC
1. Insert the Digitexts disk in your CD-ROM drive
2. Double click on the Digitexts icon on your desktop
3. Double click on the Install icon
4. Specify a folder as the 'Shared drive location'. The folder you set will be the location of all the log-in details and saved work.
5. Then allow the install to add the software package to your system
6. You may be asked to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.5 during the install. Choose where you would like this installed to.
7. Press Finish to complete the install
Un-install
1. Go to the location that the software was installed to
2. Select Remove
3. Confirm that you want to un-install the product
4. The content will then be automatically removed from your machine
