Is It..? Takes the reader on a treasure hunt to find a range of familiar materials and explore their properties.
Each book sets the children a task of finding objects with contrasting properties, for example shiny or dull, to build up a collection for display. The series provides an excellent opportunity for discussing materials and investigating their texture, shape and form. It also introduces key vocabulary to help children talk about their own observations and experiences.
