The Handbook fits the ITQ schemes of all major awarding bodies and will allow students to map their existing skills and cover the extra units they need to achieve the ITQ award.

What is ITQ?

ITQ is the new NVQ for IT Users.  It is a flexible IT user qualification and training package that can be tailored to ensure that staff and students are trained in exactly the IT skills they need.

Who is the ITQ aimed at?

The ITQ is aimed at learners who are already in the workplace and need to improve their IT skills whilst on-the-job. It can also be taken by college students who, as part of their course, will be doing a work placement.

ITQ is aimed at IT users and not professional IT staff, such as engineers and developers.

Why choose ITQ?

ITQ allows different skills to be learned and assessed at different levels. It also allows bespoke units to be included to meet business needs.

Students who already have IT qualifications, such as ECDL, CLAiT and e-Quals, can use these to count towards their ITQ. This allows students to develop their skills without having to go over materials they have already covered.
