Big Books to Inspire Little Minds!
Make Big Books a key part of your literacy teaching at Reception and Key Stage 1! In addition to helping pupils make links between sounds and spelling to facilitate the move from oracy to literacy, our Big Books also introduce key non-fiction features such as contents and index pages. Many also contain Teachers' Notes with suggestions and activities for use in the Literacy Hour.
